Is it time to replace old flooring or jazz up a wall with tile? Get creative with the service offered up here!

A friend showed me all the updates in her home yesterday (beautiful!) that she and her talented husband had installed, and among the list of sweeping changes was a new master bath. With layout completely reconfigured, they now had a gorgeous custom shower with stone-like ceramic tile walls, but the most unique feature was the base tile in the shower! I would have never guessed it was the [very large] wall tile-- professionally cut into mosaic tiles--and even came on 12x12 sheets with the usual net backing found on mosaics. She told me where it had been cut, so I had to research this find!

Mosaics is just one of the many things American Bullnose Company creates from your field tile, whether wall or floor, interior or exterior. Obviously, they also make custom bullnose from your choice of tile...

What a great feature for a custom look to any tile project! Sometimes large tile has to do double-duty in small areas, and often a matching bullnose or smaller versions of the field tile aren't available. Sure, it can be cut on site, but if you need a repeating pattern for an accent somewhere (or in my friend's case, the shower floor), it can get pricey in terms of labor costs and wasted materials.

Now imagine you found this great 18x18 tile for your kitchen floor, and you want a backsplash from the same tile, but large and bulky is not the look you're after! Voilá! It's cut to your specifications--mosaic, strips, a design--all ready for your installer at a fraction of the cost of on-site cutting and installation. From what my friend told me, the cost was pennies compared to the rest of the tile job and gave the shower such a unique, yet matching, appearance. Oddly enough, the floor seemed to complement the wall tones. She was quite happy with the look and quality, and I concur! Great idea, American Bullnose!
